Company Bike Challenge
Silicon Valley is the hub of the high-tech world. Local companies lead the way in innovation by engaging their employees and their markets, giving them the competitive edge that is the hallmark of a Silicon Valley company. The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition invites your company to take that competitive spirit to the streets with the Company Bike Challenge.
Beginning May 1st the Bay Area will be full of riders competing in the Team Bike Challenge, a way for friends and colleagues to encourage each other to cycle during their commute, but with the chance to win prizes! The Company Bike Challenge is an extension of this competition, where we will track the points of companies affiliated with the teams.
Which category is your company in?
Small Business (1-50 Local Emp)
Medium Company (50-300 Local Emp)
Large Corporation (300+ Local Emp)
To compete, a team captain signs up their team on 511.org and names the company their team is affiliated with. Points will then be counted towards that company as well as their team. There are three categories for companies, and the company with the highest point total in each category wins!
A few reasons your company should participate:
Cycling is productive. Exercise increases energy levels and relieves stress. As more people at your company commute by bicycle there will be an increase in productivity.
Teams work together. Competition is an excellent way to train the group skills that your company thrives on. And you don't have to wait until the next team-building exercise retreat.
You have a great company. Here is an opportunity to show the rest of Silicon Valley. Give your competitors a ride for their money, while letting your employees have another thing to boast about.
