The Bay Area Bicycle Coalition has completed filming the 2010 Bike to Work Day Video. The video will highlight the Team Bike Challenge, transforming a team of office workers into bicycle heroes. Check back soon to see the commercial.

 

Thanks to All Who Helped Make Bike to Work Day a Success!

Over 200,000 bike commuters took to the streets all over the Bay Area on the biggest Bike to Work Day yet for the Bay Area. This wouldn’t have been possible without the participants, volunteers, staff and sponsors that make this wonderful event possible.

Thanks to all the staff and volunteers who worked hard for months to set up the record breaking 254 Energizer Stations this year. But their work didn’t end there, over 55 Bike to Work Day events were organized throughout the Bay Area to get people ready to ride. Read more...

Happy Bike to Work Day!

It is a great day for a bike ride! Find the Energizer Station along your route for free beverages, snacks, goodies and good cheer. You can still sign up for the raffle up until May 31st to win bikes and a commuter kit. Also, on your way home from work stop by the Bike Away from Work Party in your county!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Around the Bay on Bike to Work Day (SF Streetsblog)

In Downtown San Francisco, the SFBC is offering special all-day bike parking at its Market Street and Battery Street Energizer Station.  SFBC Program Associate Marc Caswell said that while the organization hadn't heard an abundance of complaints from members about being denied access to office buildings with a bicycle, they wanted to test the waters to see if it is a bigger problem than expected. When are two wheels better than four? "Any day and every day," most dedicated campus cyclists would say. Bike to Work Day, which takes place next Thursday, May 14, is meant to inspire those who typically travel to and from work by other means to put our mettle to the pedal.
